About The Online Billboard, and My Idea
Well, I came up with the idea for this site when I was driving on the highway the other day (I live in New Jersey, USA). I saw a billboard, and started thinking whether or not someone had ever thought of creating an online billboard, that rotates (sort of like the digital billboards that they have nowadays). I've been creating and teaching myself how to make sites since I was in 7th grade, but I was never struck with an idea for a website that could be really successful (this would be the first major idea that I've ever had in terms of probability of success, and one that I would consider "Web worthy"). Of course, back in 7th grade, I wouldn't have had the know-how to be able to create something even worthwhile, had I ever come up with one. So I got this idea, and I did some research on all the major search engines, and couldn't find anyone who had thought of this seemingly unique idea.

So I decided to start building the site using the various web programming languages that I've learned over the past few years (I've been doing freelance web design and programming for about a year, year and a half). I was just about to launch the online billboard, and was thinking about what I had heard about "viral marketing," which I thought would be a good way of having the traffic to the site self-propel and continue to grow like wildfire. So I was thinking of idea's of how to make the site bookmark worthy. I ran the idea passed my current part-time employer (who is in the same industry, he does web design and web programming). He came up with an idea that I thought was *brilliant* and would possibly make the site worthy of a bookmark and a revisit from users.

The idea was to make it seem as if the visitor was driving (since most of the times billboards are located by roadways). He expanded and said to make the site seem as if the visitor was "travelling around the world (virtually of course)." He suggested that every-time a person come to this site, he would be in a different location, and that he would only be viewing billboards pertaining to that specific location. Which I thought was a fascinating idea, because you wouldn't want to advertise your company based in New York City, to someone living in China (unless of course you are an international organization that caters to world and everyone in it). I also added to the idea by putting billboard's in the last possible place you think you would find one, as a wacky and comedic idea to draw more interest in the site, having visitors think to themselves, "Where will he put a billboard next???"

About Me
My name is Jeff Marrone, I am currently 19 years old (turning 20 in November), and I am attending a local community college (for a 2 year degree, I am on my second year starting in September). I planned and created this site so that I would be able to afford a few things, one of which would be tuition to go to a 4 year college (Majoring in Web Development with a Minor in Music), along with a few other things: a guitar (a Gibson Les Paul), professional guitar lessons, and a car, anything leftover would be spent on coming up with and creating more unique ideas for the online world. I have a few more idea's that I'm still brainstorming with and doing some research already for the future, and hope to make some of them a reality.

About a year and a half ago I also started teaching myself how to play guitar, and I hope with the money I raise to be able to pay for professional guitar lessons to learn even more about the instrument and to be able to one day teach others how to play. I also want to start a Music fund for young kids who are interested in learning instruments such as guitar, but don't have the ability to, because they don't have enough money to pay for instruments or lessons. The reason for starting a music fund is because music and guitar have been a lifeboat for me, and I want to share what I've learned with like-minded individuals. Below are some video's that I recorded of me playing guitar, that I put on YouTube.

I decided to make this service reasonably priced to entice more people to help me out, and I plan on this site being online for a good long time, it's only $10.00 to put up your billboard and it will be up for a full year without additional charges. I hope to be able to give your site more traffic and at the same time be able to raise enough money to buy a few things, and invest the rest in a few more of my online idea's. If you can spare $10.00 and want to help out a young college kid, register your billboard today.
